Foundex’s wireline diamond core drilling systems can be used with any rotary, sonic, or remote / limited access drilling rigs suitable for geotechnical, environmental, construction, and resource exploration projects. Core tooling is available for recovery of NQ‑ to PQ‑sized core. Foundex’s wireline diamond coring systems can be used to collect samples in overburden, bedrock, concrete, and soil‑cement:

Overburden – Foundex offers specialized overburden coring services designed to recover high‑quality samples from unconsolidated and transitional geological formations. These custom coring systems are well suited for advancing through overburden, soft bedrock units, and permafrost where conventional methods may struggle to maintain sample integrity or borehole stability. These overburden coring systems allow for continuous sampling while minimizing disturbance to surrounding materials, making them particularly effective in environments where accurate subsurface data is required.

Bedrock – Foundex provides bedrock coring services using wireline diamond drilling systems capable of collecting high‑quality core samples in a wide range of geological conditions. Foundex teams have the knowledge and expertise to effectively select optimal core tooling for each specific project, supporting reliable sampling in challenging formations and environments.
Soil‑Cement – Foundex provides specialized soil‑cement coring services to support quality control and quality assurance efforts on ground improvement projects involving the mixing of soil with cementitious materials, including soil mixing, grout injection, and compaction grouting. Custom‑designed core bits and lifter designs have allowed Foundex to collect high‑quality core samples in areas of stabilization failure so that the integrity of treated zones and the structural strength of improved ground can be evaluated.

Foundex also has conventional large‑diameter coring systems (200 mm to 300 mm) that are commonly used to collect representative core samples in structures or to support other specialized construction programs such as post‑tensioned anchor installations.
