Health & Safety
Foundex is committed to an Environmental, Health and Safety Program that safeguards our employees, contractors, clients, and members of the public, while also protecting the environment where it may be affected by our activities. Foundex promotes a strong safety culture through a proactive, organization-wide approach, grounded in the belief that all incidents are preventable. The health and safety of our employees is a shared responsibility at every level of our organization. From field staff through to management, we are collectively committed to achieving our goal of zero incidents.
Our approach to Environmental, Health and Safety is structured, proactive, and compliant with industry best practices. Our comprehensive Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Program is constructed around the 14 elements of COR, ensuring a consistent system that promotes continuous improvement and accountability across all levels and aspects of our operations. As a COR-certified organization through the BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA), we meet recognized safety standards and are well-positioned to support and meet client prequalification requirements.
Foundex maintains the capability to develop and provide site-specific Safety Management Plans (SMPs) tailored to the unique risks and scope of each project, ensuring effective hazard identification and controls are available when required. Our crews are highly adaptable and experienced in maintaining safety and compliance in diverse and challenging conditions, including remote sites, marine settings, and even confined spaces. At the field level, daily pre-shift hazard assessments are a mandatory practice, reinforcing ongoing risk awareness and mitigation throughout all phases of work. To further enhance transparency and communication, Foundex can utilize our safety management software, SiteDocs, to provide clients with real-time access to safety documentation as it is completed in the field, always ensuring visibility and confidence in our safety performance.
