Well Drilling

well drilling

Foundex’s fleet of drill rigs and rotary rigs can be used to drill and install water wells using a range of drilling methodologies and equipment. Wells can be installed for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Water supply for commercial and industrial applications
  • Dewatering wells for construction and mining
  • Injection wells for mining

In addition to drilling and installing new wells, Foundex also undertakes well abandonment and decommissioning projects.

Foundex has extensive experience in drilling and managing artesian well conditions. Artesian wells have been drilled using mud rotary and reverse flood drilling methodologies to maintain well control. Projects have been successfully completed to abandon or regain control of drilled wells exhibiting uncontrolled flows or flows occurring outside of the casing. Specialized methods and procedures have been developed to address these conditions and support effective well control solutions.

Foundex currently employs water well drillers licensed in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. This supports the drilling, installation, completion, and/or abandonment of wells in accordance with applicable provincial requirements by qualified professionals.
