Micropiles

specialized geotechnical construction micorpiles

Foundex’s equipment is capable of drilling and installing high‑capacity, small‑diameter drilled and grouted piles used to support new structures or strengthen existing foundations.

Micropiles can consist of either small‑diameter steel casing, threaded bars, or a combination of the two. Micropiles are ideal for sites with restricted access, challenging ground conditions, or where minimal vibration is required. Micropiles can be installed using a variety of drilling methods—rotary, rotary percussion, or casing advancement systems—selected based on site geology and project load requirements.

Once installed, a high‑strength grout column bonds the pile to the surrounding ground, allowing it to resist compression, tension, and lateral loads. Their versatility makes micropiles a reliable solution for seismic upgrades, underpinning, retrofits, and projects where traditional deep foundation systems are not feasible.
